This course provides an opportunity to design an advanced mobility device/system that enhances the lives of people in near future. Not limited to the typical ‘car design’, it opens the domain of mobility design to ‘anything that helps people move’. It aims to expand each student’s ability to come up with innovative ideas, holistically arrange them and beautifully present them while delivering thought-provoking and emotionally engaging mobility solutions for the future. By enrolling in this course students will develop their design taste by appreciating basic automotive design principles and applying them into their own creative design solutions that traverse the boundaries

This course provides an array of essential skills to perform as a product designer in practice. Utilizing skills and processes acquired in foundation classes, the course is designed to equip students with the ability to solve problems that users experience of now and years down the line in the form of hardware product design. Through this students are expected to develop core ‘design muscles’ and learn practical tools to tackle challenges typically encountered by a product designer.
